Nihon Falcom released patch 1.03.2 on launch day alongside the Japan and Asia debut of KYOTO XANADU -the Blooming Phantom-. The primary fix addresses an issue where the game display was sometimes improperly cropped on certain monitors and television sets, cutting off HUD elements or menu edges.
No balance changes or story edits were announced in this revision — it is a stability and presentation patch. Additional updates may follow as Falcom monitors Steam discussion and console feedback from the first week of sales.
How to Update on Console
PlayStation 5: enable automatic updates or highlight the game tile, press Options, and select Check for Update before launching. Nintendo Switch and Switch 2: connect online, press + on the title icon, and choose Software Update. Physical cartridges still require day-one downloads for the latest build.
If cropped output persists after updating, reboot the console and verify your display is set to native resolution without overscan zoom enabled on the TV. Some HDMI modes incorrectly scale 16:9 output on older panels.
How to Update on Steam
Steam should auto-download 1.03.2 when the client is online. Right-click the game → Properties → Updates to confirm automatic updates are enabled. Use Verify Integrity of Game Files if the build string in the main menu footer still shows a pre-launch revision.
