KYOTO XANADU -the Blooming Phantom- Missables & Irreversible Content Guide
Avoid permanent misses in KYOTO XANADU: Dark Heaven Spirit Mountain (Oct 23), Soul Sword Shrine, bonding deadlines, LinoN bonus, and Support Card windows.
Dark Heaven Spirit Mountain — October 23 Only
Episode 3 forces a one-time dungeon called Dark Heaven Spirit Mountain (暗天霊山) after the midterm exam on October 23. Community charts mark this zone as story-exclusive — if you skip the afternoon objective on first entry, the map may never reopen on that save file. The gate culminates in the Three-faced Sukuna (三面宿儺) 3D boss.
Inside the mountain, search immediately right of the second Relic checkpoint for a hidden passage leading to the Soul Sword Shrine (御魂の剣塚). Collecting the shrine blessing on first visit extends Soul Accel duration — a permanent combat upgrade tied to this single run. See the Episode 3 guide for the daily schedule surrounding the exam lock.
Bonding & Kyoto Calendar Missables
Tankasho and Kien Kobanashi scenes use calendar gates. The in-game journal flags permanently missable bonding before chapter locks — check 身上雑記録 (Personal Notes) when Suo pings a new Otherworld Gate. Episode 2 city expansion on September 16 resets first-visit shop bonuses; missing Support Cards from Shijo, Honmachi, or Gion vendors delays Class Preparation efficiency for weeks.
Weekly Facility Request slots refresh on in-game Mondays. Letting a high-tier Research or Training request expire without completion wastes a calendar day that cannot be recovered. Pair Kyoto trips with Support Card cooldown refreshes on campus the same evening.
- Oct 23 — Dark Heaven Spirit Mountain + Soul Sword Shrine (first visit only).
- Sep 16 — Episode 2 district unlock; grab Komachi and Jintō Support Cards.
- Sep 16, 2026 JST — Early purchase Support Card LinoN deadline.
- Chapter locks — journal warns before bonding scenes expire.
What New Game Plus Fixes
Clear data carry-over lets you revisit chapters with boosted CP (+5), preserved cards, and retained Gourmet ranks — useful for cleaning bonding trophies or Shurado achievement routes. Difficulty can be changed independently on NG+ start. Missables missed on first run are often recoverable on a second cycle, but confirm each item in the missables checklist before deleting saves.
